Early Exposure to Lung Irritants Results in Problems Later

A study presented at the May, 2006, American Thoracic Society International Conference indicates a young worker's exposure to lung irritants can result in lung problems later in life. The study consisted of 348 apprentices of painters, machinists, electricians and insulators who were in their early 20s in 1988.
