Amicus Briefs

Mr. Metzger has authored several amicus curiae (friend-of-the-court) briefs on behalf of public health organizations, physicians and scientists regarding various toxic chemicals and chemically-induced diseases, as well as various legal issues, including the admissibility of expert testimony regarding medical causation in toxic tort cases.  These briefs have been submitted to state supreme courts, federal appeals courts, and the United States Supreme Court in important toxic tort cases, some of which briefs have been cited by these courts in deciding the cases.
